Turn Off the lights !
The first thing we did for the Earth this year was taking part in so called Earth Hour. This is the world-wide action created by the ecologists from World Wide Fund for Nature. On the last Saturday in March we switched off all the lights for an hour. It’s to realize every action we, take has an effect on the world.
How can we take care of our planet ?
During art lessons we tried to show the way we usually take care of the Earth at home. We drew many interesting Eko-logos.
Reuse everyday items !
Many items found around the home can be used for different purposes. So before we throw them away, we think about how they can be reused. Below are some suggestions of how to reuse those items.
Plant some flowers !
We planted some flowers and plants in our school garden. We also planted some flowers in the pots in our classrooms. We water them regularly.
Recycling is important !
We know that it is very important to recycle things so we collect papers and caps. Recycling is an excellent way of saving energy and conserving the environment.
Preserve the endangered species !
We learnt about some endangered animals. Every class looked for information about one endangered animal and made a poster. After that, there was a great display titled “ Let them live!”. Below, there are some of our posters.
Finally, the whole school had a short discussion and watched some presentations made by our students.
