Plant progress in Hungary

Gardening in the garden of Europe

Watering the bulbs

Planting some bulbs

OUR GARDEN IN SEPTEMBER

This is our European garden on 15 September. It was a hot and dry summer but some of the plants have survived. We picked some seeds of the flowers for next spring to set up a similar garden. We also planted some bulbs of tulips and daffodils.

Planting seeds - Poland

Hi,
We are class 6c. At the beginning of April, we have created "The garden of Europe" in our schoolyard.

Planting the seeds and plants was a great experience and we had a lot of fun. We hope to see the effects of our work very soon.

Plant progress in UK

We have taken some photos of the seeds we have been growing but we are not sure which are weeds and which are plants. We think some of them have started to grow but hopefully they will get a bit bigger soon so we will know for sure.

Unfortunately we couldn't see anything happening where we planted the seeds from Poland and Hungary, but maybe they are slow starters.  The plants from Greece are a little brown now and not doing so well - perhaps it's the english weather, or maybe we are just not good at gardening!

Planting seeds and growing plants - UK

Here we are getting the soil ready to plant the seeds from our partner schools.

We placed a flag next to each lot of seeds so we knew which country they came from.

Now we just have to wait to see if the seeds will grow.

Miss Pooler is looking after the Greek plants as they suffered a slight mishap on the way home from the meeting in Hungary.  We hope we can save them!
